چکیده
Commercial humic fertilizers (humates) can be used to improve carbon sequestration. In this study, a 3-year field trial (2016–2018) employed four treatments investigate the mechanism by which humate increases sequestration in fluvo-aquic soils: (1) blank: bare soil with no agricultural treatment; (2) control: standard film mulch (FM) ridge-furrow tillage (which acts as CK); (3) humate: FM plus humate; and (4) straw: straw. The three strongly affected sequestration, straw more significant than blank treatment. Moreover, ≥2.0-mm macroaggregate fraction, >1-mm aggregate-associated carbon, weight mean diameter (MWD) geometric (GMD), microbial biomass nitrogen (MBN) values for were all significantly increased (p < 0.05), increasing 1.9 0.9 Mg C ha−1y−1 compared control, respectively. Carbon was associated >1.0-mm C, MWD, GMD, MBN, organic input. Humate synergistically regulate processes greatly increase return while efficiently fraction stability, macroaggregate-associated physical protection of aggregates, thereby Therefore, may novel economical alternative dry soils.

Effects of agricultural practices on ecosystem carbon storage have acquired widespread concern due to its alleviation of rising atmospheric CO2 concentrations. Recently, combining of furrow-ridge with plastic film mulching in spring maize ecosystem was widely applied to boost crop water productivity in the semiarid regions of China. However, there is still limited information about the potentia...
متن کاملTillage and soil carbon sequestration—What do we really know?
It is widely believed that soil disturbance by tillage was a primary cause of the historical loss of soil organic carbon (SOC) in North America, and that substantial SOC sequestration can be accomplished by changing from conventional plowing to less intensive methods known as conservation tillage. This is based on experiments where changes in carbon storage have been estimated through soil samp...

The linkage between N2O emissions and the abundance of nitrifier and denitrifier genes is unclear in the intensively managed calcareous fluvo-aquic soils of the North China Plain. We investigated the abundance of bacterial amoA for nitrification and narG, nirS, nirK, and nosZ for denitrification by in situ soil sampling to determine how the abundance of these genes changes instantly during N fe...

Film mulch has gradually been popularized to increase water availability to crops for improving and stabilizing agricultural production in the semiarid areas of Northwest China. To find more sustainable and economic film mulch methods for alleviating drought stress in semiarid region, it is necessary to test optimum planting methods in same cultivation conditions. A field experiment was conduct...
